A practical checklist before generating an AI video

Oct 28, 2026Vyi Team

Prepare a reference, choose one camera movement, review duration and credit cost, and inspect a short AI video before publishing.

A short video is easier to assess when it has one clear subject and one main action. Use this checklist before submitting a video task in Vyi; model options and service availability are shown in the workbench.

Prepare the source and scene

For image-to-video, choose a sharp image you own or have permission to process. Check faces, logos and product labels before upload. For text-to-video, describe the subject, setting and action without packing several unrelated scenes into one prompt.

Give the camera one job

Choose a simple direction such as a slow push-in or a gentle orbit. Describe what should remain stable. A direction guides the model, but does not guarantee exact movement or preservation of every detail.

Review settings and the credit cost

Check the available duration, resolution and aspect ratio. The generation panel shows the cost for those choices. An unavailable service stays unavailable after buying credits, so read the status notice first.

Common questions

Which model should I choose?

Use the options actually enabled in the video workbench. A model name in an article is not a promise of access.

Does a failed task mean I should immediately retry?

Check the task and credit entry in My assets first. A completed result you dislike is different from a failed task.

What should I check before publication?

Review faces, text, motion and audio. Check provider terms, consent and the rights in any material you add.

Keep a reviewable first draft

Save a simple setup, generate only when the tool is available, and inspect a short result before developing a more complex idea.
